Baitul Ma’mur, an Arabic term which means the “Frequented House” is a house in the 7th heaven situated directly above the Ka’ba in which the angels pray and perform Tawaf. Just as there is a beautiful place for the congregation of Angels, we would like to create a beautiful institution for our greater community of Alexandria. We have come together to create a dynamic masjid institution that grows a diverse and vibrant community which retains the universal Islamic tradition and carries it forward for the benefit of everyone in our environment. The masjid institution will serve the entire community regardless of ethnicity, age, gender, language, and background. It will be a place for worship and spiritual education. It will cultivate an environment of learning from young children to senior age. An environment where our community can come together and create a strong connection to Allah and implement the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (saw). We would like to bring our community together and create an even stronger Ummah. There will be a place for our children to seek education, our youth to seek guidance, and our families to create a bond. We aim to add services which will benefit our community; Quranic & Hadith studies, Shahada services, Nikah services, Religious Counseling, Halaqa services for youth, men, women, and Janaza (Muslim Funeral) with burial services. Our vision for our community can only be possible with your support, guidance and dua’s. Our Mission: OUR MISSION IS TO SERVE THE CREATOR BY EDUCATING, DEVELOPING AND EMPOWERING OUR CONGREGANTS; PROVIDING SERVICES OF FAITH AND CARE FOR OUR COMMUNITY; ENGAGING SOCIETY BY BUILDING BRIDGES AND ADVOCATING FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE. Goals: To serve the Muslim community and help Muslims strengthen their faith and moral conduct. To help the Muslim community continue to be an effective contributor to the advancement of the Society. To establish strong relations with other faiths based on cooperation, tolerance, and mutual understanding in order to serve our respective communities. To help all individuals in our community to lead a healthy and productive family life that is free from drugs, crime, substance abuse, and discrimination. Methods: By conducting seminars, lectures, religious sermons, social activities, sports, and educational functions based on the divine teachings of Islam. By organizing interfaith dialogues. By exchanging visits with members of other faiths. By exchanging visits with members of other faiths. By offering Islamic education classes for hundreds of Muslim children in weekend schools. By establishing clear operational hours for the observance of the five daily prayers. By hosting multiple Friday prayers with notable Imams and speakers. By celebrating the two Eids and conducting the prayers for over 12,000 worshippers. By hosting hundreds of dignitaries to visit the masjid annually. By participating in outreach groups and interfaith coalitions. By providing daily free Iftar, Taraweeh and Tahajjud prayers, and I`tikaaf as part of the annual Ramadan program.
