Masjid ash Shura

Masjid Ash-Shura is a Muslim non-profit religious organization that was established in 2006 and is located in Norfolk Virginia, the south side of Hampton Roads. Its operation is only by the permission of Allah and then through generous donations. Masjid Ash-Shura adheres and invites to the Qur’an and Sunnah with the understanding of the Salaf As-Saalih (Pious Predecessors). It is the only Masjid upon this methodology in the Hampton Roads area. We provide a number of services to the community. Among them are religious classes, connections to the Salafi scholars, marriages, counseling, funeral services, yearly Umrah groups, aiding and assisting those in need and by Allah’s permission we would like to do much more. The Masjid is also open for the five daily prayers as well as Jumu’ah (the Friday Sermon and Prayer). Our mission is to invite humanity to the worship of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, Alone without ascribing partners to Him and to adhere to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as was understood by our Salaf As-Saalih (Pious Predecessors). We also strive to connect the people to the scholars of our religion, who are the inheritors of the prophets, and the well-known students of knowledge who are recommended by these scholars. We do not support terrorism, demonstrations, protests, rallies, revolting against the rulers, Bid’ah (novelties in the religion), sins or transgression of any type. Nor do we support overthrowing the government. We strive to enjoin the good and forbid the evil and advise one another with sincere advice upon good and likewise, we accept the same.
