In 1999, a few people in Oklahoma City’s Muslim community got together and expressed their need for an Islamic institution for their children. They wanted someplace where their kids would be exposed to Islamic values five days a week, not just at Saturday School or their local mosque. Starting with only twelve students and located in a small office building, Mercy School Institute has now expanded to over 400 students. Mercy School strives to cultivate balanced American Muslims who can contribute to the betterment of our society. As one of the few Islamic schools in Oklahoma, Mercy offers a rigorous academic curriculum as well as well-rounded Islamic education.
